Bala was born and grew up in the South Indian town Vijayawada. While still in college, Bala started his artistic career as a Mimicry Artist (stand-up) in a magician's team. Bala has 3 Masters Degrees, one in India and two in the USA in theater, film and television. He worked as a lecturer in the theater dept. at the Andhra University, and at the Film & TV Institute of Hyderabad (Bullitera Magazine's), before moving to USA. In India, Bala worked as an anchor/host on Gemini TV, ETV, and played lead parts in various Indian TV Series. In the film industry, Bala worked his way up from Associate Director, Casting Director, Co-Director before his debut feature 'Green Card Fever.' Bala lives in Los Angeles, runs 160-H Productions in Hollywood, which produces films and undertakes Production Services to foreign films in North America.
